DOG OWNERS: To add a courtesy listing for your dog, click on this form but, first please read the Important Tips below.

IMPORTANT TIPS for submitting your listing :
Please be sure to enter your contact info carefully.
Be sure to indicate your dog’s age in years, months or weeks.
Lastly, do NOT use any apostrophes (‘), quotation marks (”) or ampersands (&) in your entry—sorry, but the html coding used by our server host will not reproduce them accurately.

Please note that while it is OK for you to ask a modest rehoming fee to cover expenses you’ve incurred—such as for vaccinations, a collar, leash and toys—you may not use this service to sell a dog or puppies for financial gain.

THOSE LOOKING TO ADOPT: Courtesy listings are provided as a public service. They are basically free want-ads. SCLRR does not evaluate the dogs that appear in the courtesy listings. You should take care to meet the dog you’re interested in and conduct your own evaluation of the dog before adopting it. Also, please notify us immediately if you feel someone is using this service to sell a dog or puppies for profit.

All entries are automatically deleted after two weeks; upon request by the animal’s owner, an SCLRR volunteer can delete the listing sooner.

If you do re-home or adopt a dog privately through our Courtesy Listings, we strongly encourage you to print out and use the following generic Release of Ownership and Terms of Adoption forms to effect legal transfer of ownership.

YELLOW FEMALE entered on 02/08/2026

YELLOW FEMALE, 1 YEAR(s).

My friend is looking to rehome her female, blonde, 52 lbs Labrador mix. Named Lady. She is about a year and a half old was adopted from West Valley animal shelter about seven months ago. She is a very sweet girl who will need training and a lot of patience to help her overcome her shyness of people. She uses a doggie door to go potty outside, She loves to play with her toys and bury them in the yard. She’s only been around a smaller dog that lived with them for a while and she did OK with the little dog, but she’s not been around any other dogs so they arent sure how she would be with others. My friend has had several other people, including children visit her home, and her dog has never shown any aggression towards anyone that she has observed. Lady is incredibly shy of people but in way where she will let you approach but she is timid and lets you but she is unsure and trusting you will be nice to her. She is happy when her family is home but she gets bored easily when they leave and she will dig in the garden or chew on things she shouldn’t. She seems to love their pond a lot and loves water. She needs a family that will love her and have patience with her and train her so she has other outlets for her, then chewing on things. My friends husband is dying of cancer and are in their 70/80’s and can not keep up with this little girl. They truly want her to go to a loving home that she will be happy at. They dont want to have to take her back to west valley, she is a sweet girl but they have to focus on her husbands health. Located in Northridge, Ca.

BLACK FEMALE entered on 02/05/2026

BLACK FEMALE, 1 YEAR(s).

Rory is an active 63 pound black lab mix. She is affectionate but would rather not share her parents with any other dogs. Cats are a no no in the home as well. She was in a shelter for over a month and came to live with me and my two small dogs. She was next in line for euthanasia. She is house trained and crate trained and up to date on all vaccines and flea medication. She is a great watchdog and is receiving training to make her even more lovable. She loves to play fetch and tug a war and knows basic commands like sit, stay, leave it. She thinks she is a lapdog but can be convinced to go to her place. As I have two other dogs, I really would prefer to find her a home of her own. I am in Long Beach . She comes with beds, a crate , collar, and leash.
