RESCUE PHILOSOPHY

RESCUE PHILOSOPHY
SCLRR is a group of Lab enthusiasts dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of needy Labrador Retrievers. Through rescue work and public education, we can improve the lives of our neighbors and their pets.

We take in and foster Labrador Retrievers on a limited basis according to the availability of foster homes. We do our best to help Labs with medical conditions and injuries that are treatable. To protect the public and their pets, dogs must demonstrate before being re-homed that they are capable of being good “canine citizens.” We do not take in nor adopt out dogs that display overtly aggressive behaviors such as growling, snarling, or biting humans or other animals with little or no provocation.

SCLRR also offers a referral system, whereby folks wishing to adopt or place Labrador Retrievers may utilize the following lists:

OWNER-DOG LISTINGS
COURTESY LISTINGS
SHELTER DOG LISTINGS

Our mission statement: Re-homing needy Labrador Retrievers with forever families in Southern California. We work to encourage and promote responsible dog ownership and reduce the abuse and neglect of unwanted Labrador Retrievers through rehabilitation and adoption.
