Miss Luna is an 8-year-old, 63 lb black Lab with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. Despite being blind, Miss Luna doesn't let anything slow her down. She is spunky, energetic, curious, and determined to experience everything the world has to offer.

Her absolute favorite things are car rides and spending time with her people. Around the house, Miss Luna has an adorable 'zombie-leg' walk as she carefully maps out her surroundings and gains confidence in new spaces. It's one of her most endearing quirks and part of how she navigates the world as a blind dog.

Luna gets along well with other dogs and enjoys canine companionship, but she would also be perfectly happy as the center of attention in a home of her own. Her experience with cats is unknown.

Because she can't see, Miss Luna relies heavily on her other senses. Her sense of smell is incredible, and she is endlessly curious about every scent she encounters. She knows several commands, including 'sit', 'come', 'up', and 'down'.

Miss Luna loves her toys, enjoys running whenever she gets the opportunity, and thrives on being included in her family's activities. She may not be the most graceful runner, but she makes up for it with enthusiasm and determination. Due to her blindness, she does best with a harness and a safe environment where she can explore confidently.

When it's time to relax, Miss Luna is a champion cuddler. She loves naps, sleeping in late, and curling up right next to her person. In fact, she prefers knowing where her people are at all times and finds comfort being close. Face rubs and gentle eye rubs are her absolute favorite-she will completely melt into your lap.

Luna is good with children, but because she cannot see, she doesn't always recognize personal space or physical boundaries. She would do best with a family that understands how to safely guide and support a blind dog.

Because Miss Luna depends so much on companionship and routine, she is not a dog who should be left alone for long periods. Her ideal home would be with someone who enjoys taking their dog along for daily adventures, errands, road trips, and family activities.

You'll occasionally hear Luna bark-not because she's being difficult, but because she's curious or checking to make sure her people are still nearby. Likewise, when there is a lot of noise from conversations, television, or music, her heightened senses can make it harder for her to settle because she's trying to figure out where every sound is coming from.

Miss Luna may not see the world, but she experiences it with her whole heart. She's looking for a patient, loving family who will help her navigate life while embracing all the joy, loyalty, affection, and adventure she has to offer.
