2026-04-06: Meet Rocketman! 🚀

Rocketman is a 1-year-old black Lab mix with a gentle heart and a thoughtful personality. He's a smart, sweet boy who bonds deeply with his people - he just needs a little time to get there. He can be shy with new people at first, but after a few days of patience and kindness, his loving side really shines!

Once Rocketman feels safe, he is incredibly loyal and well-mannered. He is house trained, knows how to use a doggy door, and rides great in the car with no motion sickness! He also walks beautifully on a leash and listens well to his person!

Rocketman enjoys the comfort of his dog beds and usually prefers to sleep on his bed in your room. He'll occasionally hop up on the bed for a quick visit, but he's mostly happy in his own cozy space. He likes his crate as a safe hangout, though being shut inside can make him a bit anxious.

He currently lives with two foster dog sisters and enjoys playing with them, though he's more of a relaxed companion than a high-energy playmate. Rocketman also really loves being outside, where he seems most confident and comfortable.

Rocketman is still learning about the world. Fast movements toward him can make him nervous, and kids are something he's still figuring out. He is just unsure-so a calm, patient home that respects his space while he builds trust would be the perfect match.

And if you want to win his heart quickly? Bring snacks! Rocketman is a big fan of carrots, apples, and treats!

Rocketman is looking for a mellow, kind family who will give him the time he needs to feel safe and loved. Once you earn his trust, you'll have a loyal companion who just wants a peaceful home and someone to call his person.
