Keyla is a petite, 55-pound, chocolate Labrador with a heart of gold and a playful spirit. At just one year old, she's already showing what a perfect companion she can be - affectionate, smart, and full of joy.

She's a people-lover through and through, and she gets along beautifully with kids and other dogs (not sure about cats). Her favorite things? Playing with her foster sister, giving sweet kisses, and sticking close to her humans - she's a total Velcro dog indoors!

Keyla hadn't been walked before arriving in foster care, but she's now thriving on daily 3-mile walks. The vet gave her a glowing review: perfect weight, perfect demeanor, just perfect all around.

She knows 'sit' and 'stay' and when you say 'time to go to bed' she heads straight to her crate (with a treat of course!) and sleeps soundly through the night. Outside she stays close to her foster mom's dog, running and playing with pure delight.

She's still learning not to get too mouthy when excited, but she's making great progress with gentle guidance. She is on her best behavior in the house, not destructive or taking things (like shoes, socks, TV remotes!), and goes to the door when she needs to potty. She even stays outside of her foster mom's closet.
