2024-03-08: Let me introduce you to our sweet girl, Sagey!

Sagey is a pretty, 5 year old, silver girl who came to us as a stray. We believe she was used as a breeder and then discarded. This sweet girl had a sad, difficult life before coming to us. She is what rescue is all about.

Sagey is looking for a family that leads a relatively calm life. She would love to go on a few short walks a day and maybe walk out to the mailbox with you. Sagey is a sensitive girl and can be unsure of herself and surroundings. She just needs time and patience to become comfortable in her new home.

This little girl does come with some fine print. She has some separation anxiety, which we are working on. She is not a huge fan of being alone, but is currently living with a trainer to help her learn that she is safe. She loves her crate and does really well in it now. In fact she gets to bring it with her when she becomes part of your family! Sagey will also get to have 4 follow up training sessions! And she adores her trainer!

Sagey is a quiet girl who loves being with her people. Wait until she just quietly walks into your arms. I promise, your heart will melt. She would prefer to be your one and only dog. She is okay around other dogs, but she really doesn't want to hang out with them and is not a fan of them getting in her personal space. Sometimes you just want to be with your people, right?

Sagey is the sweetest, most gentle creature. Her fur, as well as her demeanor, is velvety and soft. She is great around cats and sweet with toddlers and babies. She is extremely low maintenance and not demanding - she would rather go for her walk and then chill on the couch or by the fire. Also, not food-centric for a Lab, and gentle when you give her a treat.

If you are home a lot, have a yard where she can bask in the sun, and are looking for a gentle, mild-mannered lady who just wants to hang out and be loved, Sagey is your girl.

Please note that your homecheck must be approved in order for you to be put in touch with the dog's foster home.
