More detail:
2024-03-12: Hi there, my name is Emme and I am an adorable 8 month old black lab mix. I'm just as sweet as I am cute and I have the most beautiful shiny, black coat with white polkadots on my paws. Since I'm only 45 pounds, the vet says I'll always be a thin, petite girl with long, gangly legs!

A dog walker in LA saw Emme wandering the streets and took her in to try to find her family, but with no luck, she turned to SCLRR for help. Emme was limping, so SCLRR took her to the vet and found she chipped the very tip of her tibia bone. Thanks to many donations, Emme was able to have surgery. Emme has full use of her leg again, and walks/plays every day with her foster mom and siblings.

Emme is a sweet, playful, attentive girl. She loves her daily walks and playtime in the yard - then she settles down nicely. She wants to please, and because she is very smart - she learns quickly! In true lab fashion, Emme LOVES her food - but she quickly learned the WAIT command before eating. She has also learned Sit, Stay, On Your Bed and No Barking. Emme is completely housetrained & walks well on-leash. Her foster mom likes to take Emme to places like Petco and Home Depot and everyone comments on how perfectly well-behaved she is. No problems with her riding in your car because she loves car rides, too!

Emme needs a family that loves to take morning and afternoon walks intermixed with playtime because she has some puppy energy to burn. But most of all Emme just wants to be by your side. Emme would be perfect as an only dog, or with an older dog that she can learn from.

If you think Emme is the dog for you, please contact your family representative - she can't wait to meet you!
