More detail:
2020-07-18: Kammie is a very active, healthy 55 lb., 9 year old female AKC Lab that came into rescue as an owner turn in. She was obviously loved in her previous home and treated like a member of the family. She is VERY well behaved and trained and knows many commands. She will wait for permission to go places in the house if you reinforce that.

Since coming into rescue she had some vaccines, blood work, a dental cleaning and a large wart removed.

She loves swimming, so a house with a pool would be nice for her.

She has an incredible off switch, will do whatever you ask of her, will lay in your lap all day if you let her, she wants to always be with her people, is GREAT with kids. She is good with cats as well as she used to live with one. She is not a barker either. Her only negatives...she is afraid of smaller yappy dogs and is scared of loud noises. That's why we think she would do better places with older kids, no yappy dogs or an adult only family.

She rides very well in a vehicle, she will lay down and is very quiet in the car. She has a special ball that she loves to play catch with and when it's put away she knows it is time to relax. She walks well on the leash and would do well with an active family.

If you are interested in making this Lab part of your family, please contact your SCLRR family representative. If you have not yet applied with us, please submit an online application to adopt; an SCLRR volunteer will then contact you. Please note that your homecheck must be approved in order for you to be put in touch with the dog's foster home.
