2017-10-10: Hi Everyone,

Let me introduce myself, my official name is Mocha C, but please call me Mocha. I am an 8 year old, 73 pound Chocolate Labrador with a gray muzzle. I am super friendly with everyone I meet because I know that is my job and I take it seriously. The comments I hear is 'He is such a sweet dog.'

I came into SCLRR from a local shelter that was very scary and I got really sick there. I was saved last minute and since I came into rescue I have been treated for upper respiratory infection, skin bacterial/yeast infection, had blood works done, laser treatments and a dental cleaning. You can say that I am like a new guy now. I put it all behind me though and I am ready to live a happy life from now on. I am currently on 2 medications - one anti-inflammatory and one for pain management for my back/ hind legs. I am told they are inexpensive but what do I know about money?

I have been working on my walking skills with my Foster Mom and she is very pleased with my progress. I have good manners indoors and can be left inside for periods of time and not get into any mischief. I also ride quietly in the back seat of a car, especially if the window on both sides is open several inches - I do love that fresh air!

My Foster Mom has been teaching me to play. I have learned to carry a small soft toy in my mouth and would you believe that I actually chased after a tennis ball for the first time in my life? Doesn't that prove you CAN teach older dogs new tricks!

I am a low activity dog and would make a wonderful companion dog, especially if you enjoy morning and evening strolls and spending quality time with a well mannered dog. I do think I am better suited to a cat free environment as I tend to want to chase them. I would love to have another older furry brother or sister.

I am very excited about finding a loving forever home that I can call my very own, and I Promise to Love you always.
