10/11/2016- To my prospective future Family, My name is Hoover and I'm a good boy! I'm a happy, healthy, active, 9 year old. I am 80 pounds of sweetness and love....handsome, strong, muscular, loving boy with blond hair and blue eyes. Wait....I mean yellow lab with brown eyes. Foster mommy says I could be a calendar model for a perfect English Lab cause I'm so handsome. She named me Hoover, (and my little foster brother, Dyson), after vacuum cleaners cause we are really good at cleaning up food when she spills something. You'll never find a crumb on this floor after I clean up! I get along very well with my foster brother, but to be honest, I'd be ok with or without him. I love getting all the attention and affection....from every human I see. Whenever I'm on a walk, and someone else is outside with their dog, (or without a dog) I always get really excited and want to run up to the human for pets and love. I don't really care if they have a dog with them to be honest. I just love people and totally trust everybody!! I adjusted to my foster mommy, and foster brother and foster home very quick. In fact, from the second I met them, I felt like I knew them my whole life. Everybody tells me how sweet and friendly I am. I'm just a social butterfly, what can I say? I'm always smiling. I'm not really sure about this walking on a leash thing though. I've never done this before so foster mommy has been trying to teach me that I'm not suppose to pull and not suppose to keep running back and forth in front of her. She tries to keep me by her side, but I'm really strong for 9 years old, and I just get so excited when I'm outside...especially when I see another human. I love following my foster mommy around in my foster home and just sitting or lying next to her, and looking in her eyes, smiling. I'm very calm and mellow inside .....kind of like a throw rug she says. Outside is where I love to get my exercise So I'd love someone who will take me on walks. I really love treats.... (actually I just love food in general)... and I'll sit and stay for them....and 'leave it' if I'm told, until I'm told ok. I'm a g'boy my foster mommy always tells me. I love being a g'boy. It gets me lots of pets and hugs. I'd do really well basically with anyone, and other dogs in my family would be ok....even though I might insist on getting more of the attention.....but if you tell me to go lay down.... I go. Sadly, but I'm a good boy and I listen well. I'll just give you my adorable sad look from across the room. Sometimes, I'll even give the sad moan. Foster mommy says it sounds like I'm saying 'OhhhHHH!!' (That's cause I am.) If I get to pick out my adoptive family, I'd like to choose someone that's somewhat active cause I do like walks and going outside with you. And cause I love attention so much, families with kids would be great! The more attention and love I get, the happier I'll be. I just hope my adoptive family keeps me forever cause if you do, I promise to give you lots of love and kisses.....and I keep my promise....cause I'm a good boy.
