2015-07-10: Well, hello everyone! My name is Wallie and I am a young 6 year old male. I am a happy tail wagging kind of guy at all times. When I came into rescue I weighed 106 lbs. I am on a very strict diet since I got here to shed the extra weight. I am happy to say, I am now down to 90 lbs. I am still a little chubby but that is part of my charm. My foster mommy says that I could stand to lose 10-15 more lbs just to be at my ideal weight. My new family will have to take me out for long walks but just so you know I LOVE going out for walks. I am ready for the challenge, bring it on!!! My foster mom says that I will need to be on a controlled diet and a lot of exercise so I keep losing weight and maintain.

I am now ready to find my own family to love and live happily ever after with. I love people and kids. I live here with 3 other labs and I love having their company during the day when my foster parents are at work. I like them but I am not the playful type of dog.

I will be very respectful of your home. I am extremely low maintenance. I am completely trustworthy in the house; I do not have bad habits like stealing others toys or chew on furniture. I will be honest - I love food, like most labs, so if you leave food down where I can get it I may be tempted to help myself! I am fully housetrained and I definitely know how to use a doggy door. I would like to have a doggie door at my new house as well.

I don't pull on leash unless I see another dog - I just want to say hi. I might act a little "vocal" when I see certain dogs but only because they give me the "evil" look. I was friendly with every dog I actually met and my foster mom introduced me to over 20 dogs.

I love sleeping on the couch during the day. At night I would prefer to sleep in your bedroom on a doggie bed. I am prone to skin/ear allergies so a home without carpet would be the best for me. Also a grain free, low carbs, limited ingredients dog food would be the best for me.

I do not like swimming at all; We had a doggie pool party here at the house a while ago and they made me go into the water and I didn't like it at all. It is so wet. I do know how to swim, I just don't like it.

I am low energy in the house and I like following my foster parents everywhere. I do a happy dance when it is feeding time or time for a walk. I believe that getting belly rubs is really amazing. My foster mom is great at giving me tons of love but the more I hear about these 'forever families' the more I think I would love one of my own. My foster mom says that SCLRR families make the best forever families in the whole world so I think that is the kind of forever family for me. If you can give me that, please contact your family rep.
