2014-09-26: Hello There! My name is Shaddow and I'm one big, really big puppy. I weigh in at 80lbs and I'm only 9 months old; so yup, I'm still a growing boy. I have shiny black fur and I love to cuddle. I enjoy being around people (of all ages and sizes) and I am friendly with other dogs but because of my size and playfulness I think some are intimidated by me at first. However, once they see that I am a gentle giant then we are good to go. No one can turn down this big love bug.
I walk well on a leash and with a few more lessons I will really master it. And since I'm so smart I'm confident I can learn to do so many more cool things. You see I wasn't trained for the first 8 months of my life so I occasionally jump up on people or surf the counter. I am working on my manners and have gotten so much better in the last month. The truth is: I'm a quick study! Okay, okay, I have to admit I have a shoe fetish but with a quick 'No' I drop it and remember it's not okay for me to chew on shoes. So, until I get a little more training I'm not allowed to be in the house alone and unsupervised.
I'm great in my crate during the day although when you get home I am one happy pup. I'm house trained and I love car rides. I sit up like a big boy and check everything out. Fetch with my favorite stuffed - well not so stuffed toy anymore - has become a sport of mine. I also love water, boy do I love water. I especially like it when it shoots from the hose and I can chomp on the water stream to 'drink'. Let's face it, I give drinking from a fire hose a whole new meaning. You'll be videoing my awesomeness in no time. My playful self is silly and sometimes clumsy - they say I'm still growing into myself. Oh and I have the coolest spotted tongue ever. It adds to my personality!
In short, I'm looking for a home that can provide me with lots of activity, interaction, and exercise to match my puppy attitude. However, I must admit I am pretty calm for my age. I enjoy sitting on my doggie bed next to you whether you are eating, watching TV or hanging out. And I don't make a peep all night. I guess you can say that I'm a great balance between energetic and relaxed. I am one loyal, fun and handsome boy looking for my new forever family.
