2014-04-26: Hello!! My name is Mr Moose and I'm a gentle giant at 100 pound, (young) 8 year old lab! My owner turned me in to SCLRR because she got really sick and couldn't keep me any longer but I was much loved. She provided all my old paperwork (including vaccination history). SCLRR gave me an extreme makeover (blood work, dental cleaning, deworming, vaccinations, and fatty lump removal). I'm very handsome and my fur is shiny and soft. My foster family has been giving me a lot of attention, which I find just delightful! My foster mom is taking me for daily walks at the beach with other dogs and I find it fun. I have never shown any aggression toward people or kids, other dogs, or even a fly for that matter. I am a little shy when I meet new people but I warm up pretty quick once I get to know them. My foster mom told me that she is very proud of me for my leash manners. I may turn my head toward barking dogs, or even bark back but they don't scare me or overly excite me. I have not been introduced to cats so I am not sure if I like them or not. I am completely house trained and I know how to sit, stay, lay down. I sleep calmly all night on a dog bed next to my foster brother (Lab) and sister (Chihuahua). I really enjoy having company during the day so I would do best if someone in my forever family was retired, worked only part-time or from home. I would also love to have a fur brother or sister. I'm starting to get comfortable with the love and attention from my foster family but I'm very eager to meet my forever family so I can truly become part of it. Please call your family rep and come and meet me. If you are interested in making this Lab part of your family, please contact your SCLRR family representative. If you have not yet applied with us, please submit an online application to adopt; an SCLRR volunteer will then contact you. Please note that your homecheck must be approved in order for you to be put in touch with the dog's foster home. |
