Areas We Serve
At this time, we serve most of Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. We also serve a few portions of San Bernardino County, and only those cities in Riverside County that are west of the 15 Freeway near Anaheim Hills or Chino. We limit the areas in which we operate based upon the volunteers we have available in each region. We do this to ensure that we are able to perform a personal home visit for each applying family. In addition, if we need to assist one of our previously adopted Labs, we will be able to do so with ease. We apologize if we are not able to assist you due to your location. Please note, we do not make any exceptions to this rule. In an effort to ensure the future success of our organization and the Labs we place, we must be very strict with regard to our operational boundaries. We appreciate your understanding.
With our widespread volunteer base, please note that approved families will need to be willing to travel to meet a Lab for adoption in their foster home. For example, you could reside in Anaheim, however, the dog you are interested in is located in Victorville. We do not hold public adoption events, nor do we operate a kennel facility where you could meet several dogs at once.
Often times, we receive requests for referrals to other groups. SCLRR is not affiliated or working in conjunction with any other Rescue organizations. As such, we are not able to refer families to specific organizations. In an effort to assist you, we would like to suggest these alternative resources as the starting point for your search. We hope you find this information useful in finding your new companion!
