More detail:
2026-02-04: Hi there, I'm Faro... but my foster mom calls me Sweetie (and she's not wrong). I'm a 2-year-old chocolate Lab, weighing in at a very respectable 67 pounds of love, loyalty, and excellent cuddle skills.

My story started with a little desert adventure (apparently wandering the desert is not the recommended way to house hunt) until a very kind lady from SCLRR scooped me up and changed my life. I moved in with my foster parents, and while waiting to be spayed, I went into heat. No worries though - it just gave my foster mom extra time to get to know me and decide what kind of lucky family deserves me.

Let me tell you about my resume: Professional cuddler (belly rubs strongly encouraged); Certified Velcro Dog (you move I move); Ball player (I'll bring it back... until I suddenly decide I'm done); Excellent roommate (sleep quietly in my crate, polite about sleeping on something comfy on the floor next to my foster Mom - even though I would love the bed).

I have never had an accident in the house. I get along great with my foster family's big dog friend, love my daily walks, and walk beautifully on leash - unless squirrels are involved. Those tiny chaos creatures mock me relentlessly and must be monitored closely.

Baths? Not my favorite activity, but I was very brave, smelled amazing afterward, and everyone agreed it was a success.

Commands? I know sit, stay, shake, leave it, and come. I'm young, super smart and ready to learn anything you're willing to teach me - especially if treats are involved.

Car rides? Love them. Barking? Nope! I've never done it. I do make adorable little quiet noises when I stretch or get really sleepy, though.

My dream forever home would be one where someone is around most of the time - I really love my people. From day one, my foster mom promised she'd find me the perfect forever family, and I believe her.

If you'd like to meet me (and who wouldn't?), please contact your foster rep. I can't wait to meet you.

If you are interested in making this Lab part of your family, please contact your SCLRR family representative. If you have not yet applied with us, please submit an online application to adopt; an SCLRR volunteer will then contact you. Please note that your homecheck must be approved in order for you to be put in touch with the dog's foster home.
