More detail:

2020-06-22: Meet Sallie Mae! She is a 5-year-old black American field lab weighing 61 lbs. Her previous owner turned her into SCLRR to find a home that could give her everything she needs.

Sallie is super athletic and needs her exercise. She walks well on a leash (I walk her using a gentle-lead). She LOVES to run and fetch balls, she could do this for hours! She is great indoors and can be left alone without causing mischief, but she probably would not do well being left alone frequently for long periods. Sallie Mae is non-destructive, house trained and she loves taking rides in the car.

Sallie has always been the only dog and I believe she would do best in a home where is she is the only dog. She is good with other dogs but not interested at all in playing with them. She is a little afraid of cats.

Although she is a little shy at first with people and other animals, she warms up quickly. Sallie sits on command and is working on the down command. She is doing really well learning not to lick and jump. She is fairly easy to train as she wants to please and she is very smart. Oh and I can’t forget – this girl loves to cuddle!
