2019-09-15: Mason Jar is my name, but I go by Mason. Sometimes my foster family calls me 'Mr. Jar', that usually happens when I do something funny that makes them laugh. I'm a neutered, 73 pound, 7 month old yellow lab with fox red coloring. If I do say so myself, I am very handsome! My previous owner contacted SCLRR because they wanted a good home for me. I was loved, and certainly not abused; but they just did not have time for me and thought I deserved better. You see, I am a very energetic, athletic puppy and I need to exercise a couple of times a day and if I am not, we'll both (you and me) go a little bonkers. I do settle down nicely after some good exercise. I love other dogs and would probably be okay with cats in time. I get excited when I see cats because I just want to play! I was not crazy about my first time in the swimming pool. But, take out the garden hose and spray water for me, I'll do everything but flip upside down and I'll sure make you smile. I also really love swimming at the beach! I am 100 percent house trained. Yea, that surprised me too. I have not even had one accident in my foster home! I am nondestructive, but if given the chance and you're not watching me, that destructive puppy thing in me just might come out! You see, I am all puppy and I need a furever home with lots of patience, love and time to train me. I want to be by your side constantly and I will melt your heart with how loyal I am. I am learning not to jump on people and just about have that mastered. If my new home has children, I prefer they be over 10 years old. My puppy ways might me too much for younger kids. I walk well on a leash if I have a pinch collar or a gentle lead, otherwise I'll take you for a walk! Oh, and I am learning to get into the car. Once I am in I'm fine! It's just getting in I have trouble with right now. If you can keep up with me, I can keep up with you. Puppies ROCK!
