2019-10-24: Introducing 10 year old Archibald, well, Archie to his friends...And everyone is his friend! Once you meet this older gentleman, you won't be able to resist leaning in for some love! At his age he has the manners and sweetness down to a science. He is a big, chocolate boy at about 80 lbs. I know I may be biased, but I think he is perfection!

Archie lived outside before he came to stay with us and has told me he really prefers to be in the house. His fur is burnt from the sun and poor nutrition, but will soon be glorious with some needed TLC. He loves to be outside with me, a little walk, a little swim, a little socializing and then back in. Archie is just a sweet boy who would quietly like to hang out with you. He is great being left alone in the house, not a chewer or counter surfer and fully potty trained. He enjoys his crate, but it is not necessary. He will just wait for you to get home and be delighted to see you.

So here is the fine print. He absolutely would prefer NOT to have any cats. He finds them terribly annoying and will tell them so. Although Archie is super gentle, the home should not have small children. This is mostly for his safety as he isn't up for a rough and tumble. As you can see from the pictures, he gets along great with his foster brother. He would be great as an only dog, but is very social and would enjoy an older sibling as well. Takes treats like champ when told to be gentle. He will sit, lie down, shake and stay. He loves his treats and will do anything for them. He has been allowed to be in the front yard off leash and will not run off. He just likes to sniff around and will come back when asked. Archie is a little hard of hearing and has been learning some sign language as this is how we speak to his foster brother. He walks well on the leash. He loves car rides and settles in nicely.

This little boy deserves to be loved by someone who will care for him the rest of his life. I promise if you need a companion at work, a coffee date and small walks on the beach, Archie is the boy for you.

If you have found the love of your life, please contact your foster rep!
