More detail:
2017-10-12: Helloooo, everyone! My name is Sir Murphy. I am a handsome yellow male, 4 years old, at 91 pounds. I have been told that I could stand to lose few more pounds but no worries, I am up for the challenge!!!

I came into SCLRR as an owner turn in because my owner became ill and couldn't care for me any longer.

I am a very happy go lucky kind of boy and my foster mommy says that I am extremely sweet. I will always greet you with my tail wagging and a big smile. My foster mommy says that I am truly loving and affectionate but I also give you space and I am politely waiting for attention. I like to follow my foster mom everywhere in the house but I give her space.

I would prefer to go to an active family that will exercise me regularly. I love going out for walks or hikes. My 2 most favorite things in the entire world are to swim and play fetch. My foster mommy says it is a must to find me a home with a pool.

I have good leash manners but I am a strong guy so I will need to be walked with a pinch collar. Once I've had my exercise for the day, I will settle really well in the house. After all, a boy needs his beauty sleep too. I am crate trained but no need to crate me, I am trustworthy in the house. I do go and take a nap at times in my crate just because I like it but they keep the door open. I am fully housetrained and I know how to use a doggie door.

I am friendly with kids but I warn you, I love to give kisses. I am very gentle when they approach me but then I sneak them a kiss...

My foster mommy says that I am pretty smart. I am food motivated so I would do anything you ask me to for a treat. I take treats gently too. I already know few obedience commands: sit, down, out, and I go to my place when I am told to.

Ideally I would like to be adopted by a family that is not away from home all day so I would have company. I would be fine with another dog or as a single dog. I make a good guard dog - If I hear any noise at the door I will let you know. I am not barking excessively, just when I hear something that needs my attention.

I live here in my foster home with 2 other dogs and I am fine with them. I met many other dogs at my foster home and at the park and I have been friendly with all of them. I play with them at times but not much. I prefer to go swimming or playing fetch. These are the BEST activities in the entire world!!!

I met a kitty once and she scared me, she hissed at me so I hid behind my foster dad. My foster mom thinks I would probably be ok with dog savvy cats.

This is my story so if you are interested in giving me an awesome forever home, please contact your Family Rep. ASAP. You won't be sorry. In return I will fill your life with lots of love.
