More detail:
2016-09-08: My name is Billy and when I hear my name I am very quick to respond. I'm 11 years old and a big, mellow, yellow pure lab. I lived in the backyard of the home of my first family. They moved and couldn't take me. I was at the county shelter for a while, then my foster dad picked me up and I've been able to stay in the house. I'm very well behaved and can be left alone without any problems. At first a little nervous with the attention from my foster dad, since I didn't get much attention before. But, now I'm comfortable hanging out with my foster family. I'm 11, so they tell me, but I feel healthy and like to go on walks and I really like car rides. When I walk by a car I sniff it and check it out thinking I might be able to get in and go for a ride, my foster dad thinks it's funny. It does take me a little while to settle once in the car.

I have a couple of lipomas (benign fatty tumors) but they aren't a problem and you can barely see them. I did recently have surgery to have a Mast cell tumor removed from the skin on my abdomen. The pathologist said it looked benign and they removed it all.

My energy level is rather low for a lab, but don't have any limitations on my walks. I've been around several dogs and usually we have a quick sniff and I move on. There have been some who are not so nice and I don't get bothered and just mosey on. I'm not interested in cats and am good around kids and fine in busy crowds. I'm really a laid back mellow yellow lab! In the time I've been with my foster dad I've really bonded with him and I'm looking for someone who would like to share some mellow time together. So if your looking for a good pal to hang out with give your family rep a call, and tell them Billy sent you! My Foster Dad says he is willing to travel to the Greater L.A. area or even Organge County so don't worry if Santa Barbara is too far.
