Hi...my name is Tipper but I don''t always answer to that so perhaps when I find a forever family, they will give me a new nickname that sticks! My foster dad thinks I am a mix of Labrador and German Shepard because of my nose, eyes, white chest hair and slightly bushier tale. He thinks I am about 4 years old but some people think I am younger because I have a sweet nature. I weigh 55 lbs. When it comes to affection I am all lab! In fact, my foster dad says I think I am a lap dog as I like to sit by his feet under the desk when he is working or jump up on his chair and give him kisses. I really enjoy being close to my family. I don''t sleep in my bed that is at the foot of the bed but I sleep by the side of the bed my foster dad sleeps on so I can be closer to him. I would say the one way I am like a Shepard is that I am not a big eater like most labs. My foster dad adds canned tuna, salmon or deboned chicken to my kibble to make it more interesting for me to entice me to eat otherwise I like to cuddle with him instead.

I am very calm and have a sweet temperament. I don''t bark very much, even when people come to the door. My foster dad took the time to socialize me to other dogs and people. I do very well in crowded environments where there is a lot of people. My foster dad took me to a couple of dog friendly restaurants and everyone complimented me on how well behaved and sweet I was. I like to say hi to other dogs and I am friendly. I get along with almost all dogs the one time a dog was mean to me I growled a little bit and showed my teeth but I was not aggressive at all. I like all dogs and people especially if they are nice to me.

My foster dad says I am very low maintenance and very healthy. I enjoy walks and hikes and the company of people. I also like putting my nose out the window when riding in the back of the car to smell all the smells in the air and to feel the wind. I would make a great addition to any family but I am hoping to find a family that is very affectionate and likes to pet me and cuddle with me! Woof!!
