More detail:
2016-06-04:Hi there! My name is Danny and I'm a 9 year old black boy who is looking for my forever family. I was dropped off at a shelter during the night and the kind people at the shelter took me in and contacted SCLRR who got me into a foster home immediately. At first I was sad and confused since I could not understand what was happening to me but now I am getting into a routine and feeling more comfortable. My foster sister lab showed me how to use the doggie door and we both enjoy our backyard where she chases lizards and I relax and listen to the birds sing. I'm content to hang out outside by myself but like to sleep at night near my humans. I know basic commands and I am trustworthy to leave home alone. Don't let my older age fool you as I am healthy and have the energy of a younger pup. I'm a little overweight at 102 pounds but working on getting back into shape and LOVE LOVE LOVE walks around the neighborhood and parks! I'm great walking on leash since I don't pull but I will run if you like to run. Sometimes dogs bark at us when we go on walks but that doesn't bother me. You can take me anywhere as I am easy to handle, patient, gentle and really like meeting humans and my fellow doggies. I like to be petted but I'm not needy for attention and fine with not always being in the same room as my humans. I am a sweet mellow tall lab with a blocky head and a soft thick coat. My favorite things are exploring the great outdoors and of course food!

I am looking for a family to love me and care for me and in return I will show you unconditional love. Please contact your family representative if you are interested in making me part of your family!
