2016-06-15: Hi everyone!

I'm Hazel and I am a 1 yr old beautiful female lab mix at 60 lbs. I love to introduce myself to everybody cause it gets me lots of attention and compliments about how sweet and beautiful I am. When foster-mommy brings me to the doggie park (my favorite place!) ...I always introduce myself to all the doggies with sniffs. I never bark at the park though like some of the other doggies do. But I can understand why they bark.....it's cause they want my attention cause I'm so beautiful. I love chasing and retrieving tennis balls at the doggie park too. Lots of people like to throw the balls cause they love that I bring it back to them and I drop it so they can throw it again. None of the other dogs can ever beat me to the ball either cause I'm really fast. I love drinking from the water faucet when people are refilling the water bowl there too. Then I always have to splash my feet in the water bowl till its empty and everybody laughs at me. I don't know why they laugh. Isn't that what I'm suppose to do? Sometimes I'll 'accidentally' ;-) drop the ball in the water bowl too for an excuse to splash my feet in the bowl of water. I also love going to the mall.....the outside mall....cause it's very relaxing. I'm so well behaved and friendly to everybody and other doggies too. I always hear people telling foster mommy that I'm so sweet and obedient too. Sometimes I just lay down next to foster mommy while we are there so she can drink a bowl of Starbucks, and just wait for people to come and pet me. I'm always very patient and wait very nicely while foster mommy talks to people. (Omg, can she talk!! Geese!) I think I get my friendliness and social manners from her. She's a pretty good foster mommy I have to say. And I like to show her my appreciation by hugging her with my head. Sometimes while we are at the mall, we go to The Lazy Dog restaurant and they bring me a bowl of water and a doggie menu that I order chicken & rice from. I get to socialize with the other doggies there and show off how well behaved I am.

Did I mention how smart I am? I know the commands, sit, lay down, stay, wait (if I'm walking too fast and foster-mommy has to catch up) leave it, no, drop it, heal, go home, up the stairs, go potty, and come. I learned all of these having formal training after I arrived into SCLRR just so I can learn my manners and be the best girl I can be.

Foster-mommy gave in to letting me on the couch but only when she invites me up. Then I just lay there and be cute with my head in her lap and watch TV with her. I haven't been able to convince her to invite me up on her bed though. She says I have my own bed and a crate that I actually really love to sleep in at night with my blankie or while she goes to work or if I just want some 'me-time'. Anyway, she really snores too loudly to sleep in her bed and she said I do too. But I don't believe her cause I've never heard myself snore.

I love playing with stuffed toys and making 'snow' all over the house! It's my favorite...so if you're going to adopt me....please make sure you have plenty of toys for me cause if you don't, I might play with your things cause I'm still only one year old. I also love chewing on big strong bones. I don't care too much about treats though. Foster mommy says I'm a weird dog cause all dogs love treats. But I'm a Cali-girl, and I have to watch my beautiful figure. If you do give me a treat though and I really happen to love it, don't bother me cause I might give you a growl if you do. It's rare but I admit I've done this. Hey, I can't be perfect! I'm only human....I mean dog!! But I've only done this to foster mommy....not anyone else. No one trained her very well. Why would she bother me if I'm enjoying my treat? So if you have small kids, that might scare them if I growl, so I probably should live with a family that only has big kids or no kids. Don't get me wrong...I love kids when I go somewhere with foster-mommy. They can always pet me and I'm really sweet to them.

I'd love to have a doggie brother or sister cause I really love to play with other dogs. I really don't want a cat in my new home though. I'm scared of them. They make ugly faces and hiss at me.

Btw, did I tell you how shiny my beautiful black coat is? I don't even shed much...whatever that means. You can brush me though....I wouldn't mind. I also love love love belly rubs. From anyone!!! As soon as someone gives me attention, I always roll over when I meet people and let them rub my belly. It just feels so doggone good! Ha! I made a pun! Heeeeeee😬

So if you want to adopt me, you better hurry up cause I always hear people telling foster-mommy that they want to steal me cause I'm so pretty and perfectly behaved.
