2016-03-28: Ooo, visitors!!! Welcome, welcome! Step right in folks, don't be shy. My name is Zero, and I'll be your host for today. I hope you're having a nice time browsing through the bios of the different doggies here at SCLRR. But NOW...now you're in for a treat, because this page right here -- this one that you're reading now -- belongs to none other than yours truly: Buddy! ...er, I mean, Zero.

Heh, pardon me, I'm experiencing a brief period of identity crisis here. This is because I USED TO be called 'Zero' by my former owner. But then I decided I don't like Zero and I deserve a better name so now everyone knows me as "Buddy". This new name fits me much better because I am a GREAT buddy. Because for me, getting a fresh start is more important than preserving some old, rusty name that's inexorably associated with my past. Who'd want that? Not me! Names are throwaways, it's like an out-of-style bandana that you get rid of and forget once you've moved on to your new life. For me, it's more important to keep moving forward, live your new life, and look forward to better times. Call me an optimist, but I think there's a happier tomorrow for everyone, even for doggies such as myself.

A little bit about me: as you can see from the lovely pictures I have here, I'm a 'yellow' Lab, (I'm actually more white than yellow), 5 yr old, weighing somewhere around 85 pounds. I'm a playful type that will be more than happy to fetch, fetch, fetch the ball for you for as long as you like. I also like playing with plush toys because after all, it all about fun!!! But because I'm a large-sized dog, it's definitely preferred that I go to a household without young kids because I may accidentally bump into them and inadvertently knock them down. Don't understand me wrong, I am great with kids and I think they are adorable little creatures.

I'm completely well-behaved inside the home so you won't ever have to worry about any wrecked items and such; I am not a chewer, I don't steal any things, I do not go to the bathroom in the house, and I am trained to use a doggy door. As far as commands go, I know 'sit', 'down', off' and 'stay', go to my place', wait' along with a many others. Because as any good dog I have been through formal training so I can learn my manners and be the best dog I can be.

My personality type is also geared towards being an 'only dog' because that's just how I roll, so no other dogs or cats in the household for me, please. I prefer to have all the attention to myself. In all honesty, I don't really like other dogs. I am currently living with 2 other dogs a lab sister and a lab brother and I am fine with them because we had time to get to know each other. When it comes to the outdoors, I'm pretty good as well. I don't pull on leash and I walk right beside you. I have great leash manners. I may react if we ever bump into some strange, mean doggies that we happen to come across while we're out walking. That's why my new owner has to be a strong handler.I am not a good candidate for dog parks and dog beach. I kind of like doing my own thing with my people.

Well, that's it for now. Feel free to contact your Family Rep in case you have any other questions.

Anyway, thanks for reading my bio. Hope to see you soon!
