Hi! My name is Yosh aka Yoshi, and I am a beautiful, five-year-old, 55-pound, yellow lab. I am told that I am very handsome - I could not agree more. I do need to gain some weight but I like food so no worries there. I am super enthusiastic about everything that is new around me. I like to explore my surroundings and I am always ready for a good walk or a stroll at the park.

I would prefer to go to an active family that will exercise me regularly. I have decent leash manners. Once I had my exercise for the day, I will settle pretty well in the house. I learned how to swim and I am pretty good at it but not sure if I like the pool just yet. I can get convinced to go in with a toy but I need a little push.

I am still a work in progress; I need to continue to learn the ropes of becoming a better citizen and I hope that my new family will help me do that because I am so willing to learn. My foster mom thought that I would benefit from formal training, so I have been sent to training school for a month. I learned some manners there but my new family will have to be consistent and re-enforce that just so I don't forget. Most of my issues stem from my enthusiasm. Sometimes I cannot resist peeking on the counter to see what's for dinner. I just like people s food so much, don't blame me for that, you like it too, right?

I am friendly with kids and currently living with a 3 yr old little girl. We had a lot of kids and people visiting for 4th of July and I was a good boy - loved the kids and the people so much. I think I like parties, there is so much going on and so much fun!!! I am currently living with 3 other dogs and we are all friends. I love playing fetch - just bring the ball and I can go on and on and on.

I'm looking for an active, experienced dog person/family that will create a routine for me and will continue my training so that I can be the best dog ever!!! I would love to go to a family that is home most of the day because I love being around people so much. I don't like being alone. I have 'abandonment' issues since I was left in a shelter before. I just adore being around people.

I'm so excited to share all of my love and affection with my forever family. If you are that family, please contact your family rep and come meet me.
