More detail:
2014-07-15: My name is Jazzz and I am a 12 year old chocolate male, at 85 lbs. I see you looking at me. Handsome you say, but too old. Really? Seems a little short sighted to me. You know there are no guarantees in life. You could adopt a whippersnapper, a dog around age 6, you don't know how long they will be around. I can guarantee you a few things though. I am told I am a LOVER, a honey, a sweetheart and devoted companion. I get along with my foster brothers and sister really well. Heck, even the cat likes me. I love my daily walk, it helps me stay in shape. When I came into rescue I was a big sausage lab, but portion control and moderate exercise has turned me into a svelte senior. I love to tug war. Don't even think you can win. The only way I will give up my Frisbee or tug toy is for a cookie.

I like being with my people. I like to rest by your feet, follow you around the house, especially into the kitchen. Lots of good things happen in there. By the way, I have been complimented on my ability to pre-clean the dishes in the dishwasher.

I have a lot of energy for my age, just enough to keep up with you, yet I know how to be mellow. I hope you will consider adopting me. It would be one of the best decisions you would ever make. If you worry I won't be around that long, please consider many labs live to 15 or 16. If you are that worried about it, adopt me along with a youngster. I don't mind teaching the youngsters a few things about life. My foster mom quotes a guy by the name of Tennyson. She says, he said, 'Tis better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.' She also says old dogs rule and we are 10 times worth our weight in love. I'll be waiting to hear from you!
