More detail:
2013-04-29: Hi, my name is Boone and I'm a 10 year old, Black, Male, Purebred Labrador Retriever. Don't let the age throw you. You see, my age just brings to your home a well trained, seasoned Lab. I am very healthy and in athletic good shape. Unlike some of my Lab brothers and sisters, I am a tall lean Lab with a svelte figure. I won't need any training when I get to your home. The learning curve for me is zippo! My energy level, you ask? Well, I can dial up my energy level when needed or I can dial it down when in the house. I currently live with young active dogs and we hike everyday with our foster dad 4-6 miles a day! If you're a hiker and need a good partner, I'm fit and in shape to carry on with you. I also love to play fetch so if you've got kids that need a Retriever to bring that ball back, I'm your guy. I've lived with cats in the past so I'm told that's a a bonus. My foster dad says that the most cool part of me is that I don't dig, I don't chew, I have NO issues and I settle well when it's time to just relax. I've learned to do that at my age which is why you should never ever let the age thing get in the way of our meeting. Based on what my foster family has seen me consistently achieve, they know I will fit into any family very well. All I want is to be an interactive family member that is kept indoors with you when we're all together. That makes me the balanced Lab that I am. I am a good friend to all the dogs I meet so no worries if you have a playmate for me or if we're out and about the town. I know what to do. The only thing you should know is that I'm not much of a water dog but I do travel well in the car and I am an excellent companion wherever we go. If I've described your family lifestyle and you're approved to adopt, please contact your family rep so that we can meet!If you are interested in making this Lab part of your family, please contact your SCLRR family representative. If you have not yet applied with us, please submit an online application to adopt; an SCLRR volunteer will then contact you. Please note that your homecheck must be approved in order for you to be put in touch with the dog's foster home. |
