SCLRR: Adoption Application Form

Important Notes: SCLRR is at present not able to accept applications to adopt from San Diego or the Inland Empire area (Riverside, San Bernardino, etc) Unfortunately, SCLRR cannot operate in areas where we do not have a volunteer network in place. We need to interview potential adoptive families and check up on the adoption within the following year through actual home visits. In addition, we must be able to recover Labs that we have placed that either need to be returned to us or, on rare occasions, may turn up in local shelters. If you would like to adopt a Lab, find a new home for your Lab, or volunteer to help save Labs, and you live in one of the above-listed areas that we do not cover, please go back to our homepage for links to rescue organizations that serve these areas. We are an all-volunteer organization that covers large areas of Southern California. Unfortunately, as with any volunteer organization, we are limited by the number and location of our volunteers. We're sorry we can't help you in these areas.

The answers you give on this application will help us to find the best possible match between you and the Labradors available through SCLRR, Inc if you are approved for adoption. Please include area codes with all phone numbers. If no phone numbers are given, this application will be discarded. One of our representatives should be contacting you shortly after we receive your submission. Give us ten working days before you call us again and be sure to mention that you've sent us the filled out forms. Dogs fostered by SCLRR will incur an adoption charge to cover aggregate costs of caring for the dogs, payable at the time of adoption. Our current adoption fees are $225 for dogs up to age six years, $100 for dogs seven years and older. We reserve the right to refuse an application.

IMPORTANT: You will get an email message after filling out and submitting this form. Please print that message, sign it, and mail it to us along with your check for the $10 nonrefundable application fee. The check should be payable to "SCLRR."

If for some reason you can't use this form, call us at 888-554-ALAB to obtain a hardcopy by mail.
