SCLRR knows that there are more animals out there suffering and abandoned than just what we see in our rescue. We believe that entire communities must pull together if we are ever to end the cruelty and homelessness of pets. As a result, SCLRR funds programs of other highly successful organizations to further our mission statement and to help improve the lives of hundreds of pets!
- Every year SCLRR donates to Labrador Lifeline in order to ensure that some of the Labs we are not able to help get their needed medical care. These dogs are still with their original owners. We thank all the volunteers that support this organization!
- SCLRR also makes a yearly donation to LABMED to help other people who rescue these wonderful dogs too! LABMED is dedicated to funding dogs that require emergency surgeries that are currently taken in by an organized rescue group, shelter, vet clinic, or in some circumstances by an individual rescuer.
- SCLRR is extremely committed to educating children about proper pet care and how to approach a dog safely in public. SCLRR has been supporting Pet Orphans Humane Education program for over two years now and has funded over 50 classroom presentations. Pet Orphans teaches responsible, humane pet ownership and dog bite prevention with free presentations and handout materials to all age groups at public and private schools, community service organizations, Boys & Girls Clubs, Women's Clubs and many others.

- SCLRR knows that we can not end the needless destruction of the many dogs in our community without pulling together and helping each other to achieve the goal of being a no-kill society! SCLRR annually donates to various spay neuter programs and in 2008, a large donation was made to a mobile spay/neuter fund hosted by DownTown Dog Rescue. They were able to sterilize 25 dogs over the course an entire day's event due to SCLRR's generosity! SCLRR repeated these donations in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
