While we make every effort to ensure these listings are accurate, we cannot guarantee there are no mistakes below. Please always call the shelter before coming to see a particular dog. You should also take care to meet the dog and conduct your own evaluation of the dog before adopting it. Also remember that in most cases time is very short for these dogs. If you want to know whether the dog is still there, call the shelter directly!

Comments: choco chubby is a choc neutered male approx 6-8 yrs old(per vet assessment). he has some greying around his muzzle but acts closer to a 6 yr old lab and has nice clean teeth. he is very friendly and energetic. he is approx 15 lbs overweight and has been put on a low cal/high fiber food. if he continues with the food and with exercise(which he seems to love) i am sure he will quickly drop the extra lbs! he is great with kids( i evaled him with my 5 yr old and he loved her throwing the ball for him), dogs, cats and even the roosters! he came in as a stray last week. he is ready to go to a great new home and start his new life with plenty of choc love to give. he will need a new name as i am sure he will not be chubby for long. email csg97@cox.net for a photo.

Comments: Cocoa is a doll - and dont tell her she is an old girl - or she will have to prove you wrong by being active and bouncy and just exuberant about life. She walks well on a leash but does pull a bit - so that age thing means nothing to her! She is super friendly and every photo I took of her made her look like she was laughing....she certainly exudes smiles and easily makes them contagious to people. Her owners dumped her at the shelter and obviously did not take great care of her. She needs a toe nail clipping and some good flea care so she can get rid of the thin areas of hair on her bottom where she has been scratching. Otherwise - her weight is good and her joints seem just fine. This girl would make anyone a great pet - and she deserves better than the shelter at her grand age of 11....She is a great dog - I have photos - so send me an email at evvy@earthlink.net ....and better yet - go meet her - she is a charming doll
