Available Foster Dogs

Please note:

Purebred Labrador Retriever: A dog for whom we have AKC papers or copies thereof.

Labrador Retriever: A dog having the appearance of a purebred, but we lack papers for it.

Labrador Retriever Mix: A dog bearing enough similarity in appearance and temperament to a Lab to make it reasonable to assume that it has purebred lines somewhere in its ancestry.

Here are listed the Labradors that we are fostering. Please note that we absolutely do not adopt outside southern California! Complete contact information for these dogs is only available to those who have filled out our Request to Adopt form and who have been approved through interviews with our volunteers.

You can find out about some happy endings. We also compiled some quarterly statistics for your perusal as well.

Want to adopt from us?? Be sure to fill out our online adoption application form!

If you have been previously approved to adopt by one of our volunteers, be sure to let your rep know of your interest in any of the dogs below.

Note that the date given for each dog is the date he or she wound up in SCLRR's custody. Some dogs require longer periods of recuperation or rehabilitation than others. However, the dogs are listed in order by how recently their record was updated.

Normally a dog taken from the shelter is fostered a minimum of seven days to better assess temperament and to check on health. Some dogs are put up early for preview and may be seen before the seven day period is up, but any adoption is finalized after the minimum period.
