2010-07-27: Sophee is an approximately 4 year old, yellow, female Lab with AKC papers. She was turned into SCLRR because the family had to move into a place where they could not have big dogs. They have owned her for three years - they acquired her originally from Lancaster shelter at 9 months old. She is used to living with 3 yorkies and a fox hound buddy. The family did not walk her that much, but she is in good shape and is at a good weight. She is healthy except for some mild seasonal allergies. She is very social with everyone - kids, men, and women. She likes riding in the car, going for hikes off leash, loves all people and is very good with the 6 dogs at the foster home. She is also doing well with the 3 cats in her foster home as well. She is crate trained and sleeps in one at night though she used to sleep on a dog bed in her former home. Sophee MUST have a doggy door and another dog in her new home. She is housebroken. Her foster family has a set up that is similiar with doggy door access into one room in the home. She does not have separation anxiety with the doggy door and another buddy to hang out with. She is playful with other dogs, but not overly pushy and never dominant. She is very socialized and affectionate. She is not hyper and requires low to moderate exercise - walking would be fine for her. She is not an escape artist and is staying behind 5 foot chain link with no problems at all.
Please contact your family rep if you are interested in Sophee. You will need to have an approved homecheck already in place to be considered for Sophee.
