2010-06-08: Lola is a very young and very healthy 10 year old Black Female who loves going on walks and likes playing with a rope bone. She has more energy than my other two dogs (golden retriever/corgi mix and cocker spaniel) that are 7 and 10 years old! I took all three of them to Fryman Canyon for a 3-mile hike in the hills recently and Lola loved it. I could tell she would have liked to have hiked longer! We are not exactly sure how old Lola is and based on the Vets opinion and her energy level she could definitely be younger than 10. I take Lola on a 20 minute walk in the morning and evening with my other two dogs.
Lola is completely housetrained and can be left at least 10 hours at home with no accidents. She has never had an accident in the more than a month I have had her. She is very well-behaved, doesnt chew or have any destructive behaviors in the house. She loves affection and is great with people. The first night Lola stayed with me I had about 14 people over for a BBQ. She stayed outside in the backyard with everyone the entire night and loved being petted by everyone. I leave Lola alone with my other two dogs in the house while Im at work and they all get along fine with no issues. She is a sweet, gentle, affectionate and adorable dog!
Lola was going to be put to sleep by her owner because he didn't know what to do with her and didn't want to take her to the shelter. My friend, a Vet Tech and I stepped in and offered to save this poor girl who has so much life and love left in her to give.
