2010-07-07: Hi, my name is Charlie Boy but you can call me Charlie. I am a two year old male chocolate Lab weighing in at about 75 pounds. My physique leans more toward the handsome field type rather than those stocky English things. I am housebroken but will need a doggie door and sleep all night in a crate with no problems. I enjoy walks on a lead and appreciate corrections. I am told that I am quite smart and look forward to further training. I am active and tend to get excited when checking out a new place but settle down quickly. I love being close to people and will learn not to jump on them with time and guidance. I really like being handled and am easy to groom. I tend to chase birds and protect the house from cats so I might be more welcomed in a home without those pets. Anyway, I am definitely looking forward to being an appreciative and compassionate companion to a very lucky family.
